This monumental achievement, now certified fit for operation, reflects the extraordinary resolve of a rare leader who dares to dream and works relentlessly to turn those dreams into reality.

The completion and certification of the Ekiti State International Cargo Airport are not just milestones but a testament to Governor Oyebanji’s determination to prioritize projects that many doubted could succeed. His administration has displayed an unyielding commitment to the spirit of continuity, seeing through a complex project initiated by his predecessors. This singular accomplishment proves that only leaders of purpose and vision can persevere through thick and thin, ensuring that such transformative infrastructure reaches its operational potential.

*The Advantages of the Ekiti State International Cargo Airport*

With the certification  of this world-class facility, Ekiti is now strategically positioned to unlock numerous socio-economic benefits:

.

Ekiti’s abundant agricultural produce, including yams, cassava, cocoa, and palm oil, can now reach international markets faster and more efficiently. This will provide farmers with better earnings and enhance the State's economic growth.

The airport will serve as a catalyst for job creation, directly through airport operations and indirectly through ancillary industries such as logistics, warehousing, and transportation services.

Tourism Development:

The improved accessibility to Ekiti will promote its rich cultural heritage, festivals, and natural attractions, driving the inflow of tourists and fostering economic activities in the hospitality and tourism sectors.

Businesses requiring fast and reliable transportation of goods will be drawn to the state, encouraging industrial growth and positioning Ekiti as a hub for commerce in the Southwest region.

The airport will generate significant revenue for the state through landing fees, cargo charges, and other services, thereby strengthening its internally generated revenue (IGR).

Governor Oyebanji’s bold move in ensuring the operational readiness of the cargo airport is a forward-thinking step that aligns with Ekiti’s vision for sustainable development. By fostering connectivity, attracting investments, and opening the state to global opportunities, this project will undoubtedly transform Ekiti’s economic landscape and improve the standard of living for its citizens.

BAO’s Backers 2030 call on all Ekiti indigenes and well-wishers to join hands in applauding Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for this monumental feat. His dedication to the prosperity of Ekiti stands as an inspiring example of purposeful governance.

The Ekiti State Cargo Airport is more than just a project; it is a legacy that will serve generations to come. It symbolizes hope, resilience, and the endless possibilities of visionary leadership.

Who is this Afe Babalola self ?

Who Is this Afe Babalola self ?

By Wale Ojo-Lanre Esq.

I do not wish to dwell on the brazen and calculated defamatory tirade launched by one Dele Farotimi against Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, CFR—Chairman of Emmanuel Chambers and the visionary Founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti (ABUAD), a globally acclaimed institution. Such actions bring to mind the Yoruba proverb, "Eni ti ko ni iru eni ko le mo iyin eni," which translates as, "Only a person from a responsible background can appreciate the worth of an icon."

Aare Afe Babalola is far beyond the reach of reckless talkers who, by some accident of fortune, find themselves in noble professions or communication platforms. He is a man whose superlative intellect and diligence propelled him from humble beginnings to unparalleled greatness. From his youth, his electrifying brilliance and unshakable determination to excel have set him apart.

Early Testimony of Brilliance

Dr. Victor Omololu Sowemimo Olunloyo, one of Nigeria’s finest mathematical minds and a former Governor of Old Oyo State, testifies to Aare Babalola's genius:

"I have known Afe Babalola since 1949. Afe is extraordinarily brilliant—a genius from no aristocratic background. He has shown the world that success does not depend on who your father is. Afe was the only pupil teacher under my grandfather in Gbongan, Osun State, who could argue logically with a Government College boy. I asked my father to release him, and he did. Within eight years, Afe became a lawyer under Olayinka Ayoola."

Such is the caliber of the man that certain misguided individuals have tried to defame—a man whose name resonates with achievement, discipline, and excellence. Their defamation and character assassination are brazen in their criminality and offensive to all that Aare Babalola represents.

In the annals of Nigerian legal history, few names command the same reverence and admiration as Aare Afe Babalola. A distinguished Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), philanthropist, and nation-builder, his legacy transcends the legal profession. Through his Emmanuel Chambers, he has mentored and produced an unparalleled number of SANs—a feat only a handful of law firms can boast.

In 2010, Aare Babalola founded ABUAD, an institution that has redefined private education in Nigeria. The university's world-class facilities, innovative curriculum, and stellar faculty have made it a beacon of excellence. ABUAD embodies Babalola’s vision for a holistic educational system that promotes academic excellence alongside integrity, ethics, and social responsibility.

Babalola’s impact extends beyond education to healthcare. The Afe Babalola Multi-System Hospital, Ado Ekiti, stands as a testament to his dedication to improving lives. Equipped with cutting-edge medical technology and staffed by compassionate professionals, the hospital provides top-tier healthcare services to Nigerians.

This institution reflects his belief that access to quality healthcare is a fundamental human right, and through his philanthropy, Babalola has ensured this vision becomes a reality for many

Recognizing the importance of industrialization for economic growth, Aare Babalola initiated the Afe Babalola Industrial Zone in Ado Ekiti. This project is designed to drive economic activities, create jobs, and empower residents with valuable skills. It is yet another example of his commitment to regional and national development.

Despite his towering achievements, Aare Babalola has faced criticism and defamation, often driven by envy or petty politics. Yet, his resilience is unwavering. No amount of malicious attacks can tarnish the enduring legacy of a man whose life’s work speaks for itself.

Babalola’s approach to adversity is defined by grace and focus. He remains steadfast in his mission to improve society through education, healthcare, and industrial innovation. His achievements are his loudest response to detractors

Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, stands as a symbol of hope and a trailblazer for excellence in Nigeria. His establishments—ABUAD, the Multi-System Hospital, and the Industrial Zone—are testaments to his vision for a better society.

In a country grappling with challenges in education, healthcare, and economic development, leaders like Aare Babalola remind us of what is possible with determination, integrity, and a commitment to positive change. His life is a source of inspiration to aspiring lawyers, entrepreneurs, and nation-builders.

Aare Babalola’s rise to global recognition is not accidental; it is the result of decades of relentless effort and determination. It is only natural that he protects this legacy from being tarnished by the reckless utterances of an oniyangi (worthless fellow). Greatness deserves to be shielded, celebrated, and preserved for posterity.

True greatness is not defined by popularity but by the indelible impact one leaves on society. Aare Afe Babalola exemplifies this, and no amount of negativity can diminish his light.

He should fight for his right .
