MY LOVE FOR TUNDE KELANI-UK SCREEN QUEEN,WUNMI MOSAKU

MY LOVE FOR TUNDE KELANI-UK SCREEN QUEEN, WUNMI MOSAKU

Oluwunmi Olapeju Mosaku, born in Zaria,Nigeria 25 years ago is one of the few British actresses of Nigeria origin who make one feels proud to be black. Wunmi Mosaku as she is popularly known schooled in England and since 2006 has been making her mark on British screen especially BBC and ITV. Her works which span film, TV and radio include, Sold, Never Better, Doctors, Women Of Troy(as Helen of Troy),Stolen, I am A Slave, Citadel, The Bill ,Silent Witness and so on.

In 2008, she was featured at the National Portrait Gallery in the UNDEREXPOSED Exhibition aim at highlighting the under representation of black actresses in the British world. Silver Screen Magazine proudly had her as the Cover as UK star of tomorrow. Nylon’s Magazine  featured her  in the June-July,2011 Hollywood issue while she was named as one of seven fresh faces in the Toronto Film Festival,2011.

At the Indigo,O2 on the 16th of October, Wunmi was the proud winner of Female Personality of the year(TV) and with her signature smile, ever wider .she says she has been quite lucky in the Industry especially with a superlative Agent but feels most times the audience yearning for basically known faces allow people like Models or other Celebs who were not properly trained in the Art to flood the industry at the detriment of professional Actors. And as a black actress competing with other big names, cross over parts might not come very easily. In Nollywood, she reveals she has seen a few works but will really love to work with Ace Cinematographer and Film Maker, Mainframe CEO Tunde Kelani because of his superlative works which she says can compete with the best any where in the world.

She confessed she narrowly missed meeting the Movie Magician at a Wedding of a Family friend a few years back as he left before she got there yet,she has been following his work keenly.

We can only hope Uncle Kelani is reading this if the genuineness we read in Wunmi’s aura and words is anything to go by.

MTXPRESS RESHAPES MONEY TRANSFER

MTXPRESS SET TO DEFINE MONEY TRANSFER   IN THE NIGERIAN-UK BUSINESS LANDSCAPE.

Mobile Union, the tested money transfer company which kicked off in 2007 is set to bring its wealth of experience to the Nigerian market especially with its Mtxpress money transfer. It is a known fact that most migrants abroad seek a very effective money transfer company as it has been recently quoted that collectively, migrant workers remit about 400 billion dollars to their various countries worldwide. Most times,Nigerians in the UK continually seek an easy ,effective and very safe way to send money and listening to the team of Mobile Union UK recently, one could say, the storm might well be over.

Steven Faulkner (CEO/Founder), Winston Bell-Gam(Co-Founder /Director) and Ms Ibifuro Longjohn who overseas operations at the Company enlightened the media about the benefits of using Mtxptress which is a 24hours money transfer service .It was reiterated that one needs not be disappointed when most rival companies close shop at a particular time of the day as with Mtxpress, all the Sender needs is his debit card and online facilities. Also, the Beneficiary basically needs a mobile phone to receive the money in seconds. A few measures have also been put in place to eliminate money laundry as presently only the sum of 300 pounds can be sent over a 30 days period. And even better is that as low as 10 pounds could be sent with charges that are relatively lower than the competition. Continuing, the team speaking at intervals explain that Equitorial Trust Bank (ETB) is the bank to collect all monies sent via Mtxpress and the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN),has fully given its backing.

Mtxpress which has worked successfully in Bangladesh and Nepal could be said to be catching on like wildfire especially with the countrywide branches of the ETB. The Company which has been sponsoring a few Nigerian events like the Nigerian Carnival UK which held last October , we learnt will strive to be the answer to many money transfer issues between the UK  and  Nigeria as very  commendable plans are set to roll out this new year to  make money transfer as easy as it should be.
