  As you read this, the once sizzling and much publicised relationship between star actress, Toyin Aimakhu and her fiancé, Kunle Shoyombo has crashed and this gist is authoritative. The relationship that lasted for about 2 years saw Toyin flaunting her extranged lover on the Red Carpets of various events and mentioned him as her man in various interviews she granted in the last one year. Sources reveal that the relationship which no one doubted was altar bound crashed like a pack of cards a few days after the Christmas celebrations 2011. Those close to the estranged lovers revealed that there was no sign of misunderstanding between them as they played host to a few friends on 25th December, 2011 at their Omole Estate, Ojodu, Lagos residence. A few friends from the movie industry, movie marketers, up and coming actors and actresses were their guests. Kunle, who hails from Ogun State shies away from the public glare but became known as they stepped out together. Sources close to both of them revealed that they had issues that they couldn’t resolve even as Toyin felt she was giving all to make the relationship work but Kunle wouldn’t understand her. Our source revealed further that though there was a formal family introduction between the families of both Kunle and Toyin but they neither picked a date or plan any wedding but lived together as live-in-lovers for the 2 years span of the relationship. Our source further revealed that Toyin and Kunle had practically gone their separate ways some months back as Kunle was most times not around at the Ojodu house. At those times, Toyin told anyone who asked about him that he was out of town. There were strong indications that those times Kunle and Toyin quarreled,yet returned whenever they reconciled. The cause of the final break-up of the relationship is not unlikely to be an heated argument and quarrel they had shortly after 2011 Christmas. Toyin, according to our source informed those close to her that she did all she could to settle down with Kunle but it was obvious the relationship was heading for the rocks. She felt it was frustrating for men who came into her life to misunderstand her despite the fact that a lot of people will conclude that she was likely to cause the break-up of the relationship.
  While drugged on the romance of the relationship, Toyin went as far as writing “Kunle” on the finger where her wedding ring will be. She called him “Oko Mi”, meaning my husband. She also flaunted him at will several times as she was quoted thus,  “I have a man, and I know I have a real man, I have a tattoo of his name(Kunle) on my wedding finger and he has my name on his too. All I will say is that I have a man. You know I was actually pregnant, but I lost it, if I don't have a man I won't be pregnant. It's painful, but I just have to accept it as what God wants. Actually things happened, I actually stressed myself, maybe I wasn't experienced, as it was the first time. But I promise you, I will soon have a baby again.” Unfortunately, the award winning actress wasn’t pregnant until she and Kunle parted ways the last days of 2011.
  
  
  
  Interestingly, Toyin though with expected rich and handsome Admirers would tell whoever cares to inquire about her choice that, “I am not thrilled by money men have to offer me. I believe in true love. It is not that I don’t have rich men who woo me but I think am more comfortable with a man who we can start our lives together and I have no regret though many of my colleagues who are female criticize me for not dating rich men. The fact is that I am happy with the financial status of my men.”

   Toyin found her way into the movie industry in 2003 through star actress Bukky Wright while she was in Ibadan to shoot a movie.
