Chanel Spring 2012 Couture
"No '50s, no '60s, no '70s; just what I like," Karl Lagerfeld said of his Spring 2012 Couture collection for Chanel. Presented in an Air Chanel jumbo jet — built in the Grand Palais specifically for the occasion and complete with Chanel logo carpet, skylights, and airplane seats — the collection was a "monochrome rainbow" of blues, blacks, and creams, in straightforward silhouettes that moved easily from day to night. Suits, dresses, and jackets were structured and clean, with dropped-waists, puffed sleeves, low pockets, and wide, stand-away neckliines
At Klaxi,we are taken by almost the entire Collection but cannot help thinkin that the last three designs might be a bit risky to wear, even after adjusting it away from the Runway. The white gown embellished with sky blue glitters could easily score high on its own but the 'Angel' wings seems to reduce it to Halloween or a Kiddies party. The last two outfits pictured above might not favour either skinny or fuller body size as there seems to be unneccesary details all around.Right from top to bottom, the blouse looks quite severe.unflatteringly short and the skirt especially for the last design in powder blue would not present a neat look eventually.Either on a Pencil thin or full body woman.
However, the flowing and soft materials, flattering sky blue or royal looking deeper hues keep one spellbound at the Collection.Spring cannot be more inviting than this really.
